The headstock is in good shape with some minor chips and dings from years of string changes around the face of the headstock. There is some minor wear on the back of the headstock likely from the guitar being leaned up against a wall or similar. Tuners have been replaced with a modern Kluson tulip type single line tuner. The truss rod cover appears to have been replaced with modern type with narrow bevel and no "roll marks".

The original nut is in good shape. The frets are original with nibs intact. Frets have very little play wear and still have the majority of life left in them. The fretboard is in great dings, dents or cracks. The angle is good, and the action is great with no buzz. The original bridge and tailpiece were replaced with a rosewood floating bridge, and alternate tailpiece.

The top of the guitar's body is in good overall condition with fine checking throughout. The is some finish flaking around the top F hole. The original pick guard has been replaced (original included in case, intact). The back of the headstock is in good shape with minor finish checking. No breaks or repairs. There is some wear on the back of the top back of the headstock likely from the guitar being leaned up against a wall or similar as previously noted. The back of neck is in very good condition very little wear.

Additional info: There is a hole on the top of the neck heal from a previously removed strap button. . Checking is on the finish only and does not appear to have damaged the guitar in anyway. Brown Lifton case shows minor moisture damage on the inside consistent with these findings. outside of case is in good overall shape with wear expected for its age. Electronics work as they should without issue.  Overall this is a great player grade vintage instrument that is sure to increase in value over time.
