Meet Our Repair Technicians

DYLAN MADAR -  REPAIR TECH

Dylan is BCR's rising young repair talent that got his start in repairs the old fashioned way: working his tail off!

Dylan started playing guitar at the age of 12 on a Hamer Slammer and was formally instructed by Quentin Jones.  By the age of 16, he was working for Mr. Jones and teaching beginners how to play.

At 17, Dylan landed a job at Roseville Music in Lancaster, PA, teaching and doing setup work.  Soon after, he joined Darry Miller and Veil and hit the road for touring.

After Darry Miller and the Veil disbanded, Dylan stayed active in the local scene by working at the legendary venue Chameleon Club and was on staff there for just under 5 years.

In 2019, he returned to doing repair work at Music on Main in Ephrata, PA and went full time into all things guitar. During that period, Dylan obtained an apprenticeship from Greg Platzer (former owner of our shop!), whom he had met at BCR a few years prior.  They became close friends as they share a love for vintage guitars, with Dylan's personal favorites being the archtops.

Dylan continues to play live gigs in the Central PA area with Flapjack Jones & the Bender Brohs, as well as performing solo acoustic fingerstyle.

His favorite guitar player of all time is Chet Atkins and we don't blame him!Â
