1967 Ludwig 12x8 Rack Tom – Silver Sparkle – Vintage
Here is a beautiful genuine 1967 Ludwig 12x8 rack tom in classic Silver Sparkle. Featuring its original Ludwig Keystone badge, this tom provides the warm, open response and unmistakable resonance of classic American-made vintage Ludwig drums.
The serial number (#515101) places this drum within Ludwig’s approximate 1967 Keystone-badge range. As with most Ludwig drums from this period, serial-number dating should be treated as approximate rather than an exact production date.
Condition & Features This drum is an attractive vintage survivor with its Silver Sparkle wrap remaining intact and vibrant. The shell shows normal cosmetic aging, light staining, and minor discoloration consistent with nearly 60 years of use and storage. The interior features Ludwig's period-correct black Reso-Cote finish.
Most importantly, the bearing edges are in good condition and do not appear to require restoration, making this drum ready for immediate setup, tuning, or addition to a vintage Ludwig shell pack.
