  • Regular price $4,099.00

This vintage Fender Mandocaster from 1956 is in Very Good, overall condition. These models have always been rare, but are becoming increasingly scarce. The instrument is fully functional, plays great, and presents as all original and includes its original tweed w/red interior case.

The headstock shows light nicks along the top face edge.  The original Fender logo is healthy & firmly attached. The headstock back has has chrome / nickel transfer that is rough to the touch - subtle, can't be felt when playing as it is in the volute area. This may be from an old instrument hanger, or stored in some other type of case. The neck is stamped 9-56, and has light V shape profile and feels fast and even.

There are a few small nicks and dings to the back of the neck but without any meaningful or noticeable damage otherwise. There is finish wear  wear clear coat has been worn down between first 3 frets. The first 3 frets show light flattening that corresponds with the fingerboard wear, but is very light & does not affect playability or intonation.

Neck heel - Some of fingerboard finish wear, (normal wear and tear). Body wear consistent throughout, large wear spots on back & pickguard wear all correspond with heavy, but appropriate play wear.
