Fender Stratocaster Made in Mexico with Super Vee Locking Bridge - Used

The early 2000's were an excellent time for Fender manufacturing! The neck plays smooth and has a very lightly worn-in, thinner finish that warms up easy and doesn't stick. Timeless looking, and its upgraded bridge affords modern trem use without sacrificing that classic 50's hot rod aesthetic!

This guitar was built in the Fender Mexico factory and was originally outfitted with a Floyd Rose locking tremolo system. The previous owner installed an aftermarket Super Vee locking tremolo bridge, the installation of which did not require additional routing to the body / bridge cavity. This guitar has also been outfitted with locking tuners. The electronics do not appear to  have been modified in any way.

This Fender Stratocaster is in Very Good condition and weighs 8.2 lbs. The headstock is very clean, with only the lights roughness / nicks along the top front edge of the headstock (only visible under close inspection). The frets are clean and in excellent shape, with only the lightest visible wear on the treble side crowns near the nut, overall fret condition 9.9 / 10. The body has light scratches in the finished throughout the back and sides consistent with normal use. There is a ding through the finish inside the bass side horn (pictured). There is a second strap-button hole on the bottom of the body towards the treble side from where another was installed at one point. The finish around the neck pocket shows typical stress cracks typical of a Fender of this age. None of the described blemishes negatively affect the playability or operation of the instrument.
