The G&L Fullerton JB is Leo Fender’s final evolution of the classic J-style bass, combining traditional looks and feel with premium American craftsmanship and thoughtful modern upgrades. This particular example is finished in timeless Vintage White with a matching headstock and tortoise pickguard for a clean, vintage-inspired appearance.
Built in G&L’s Fullerton, California factory, this JB features a lightweight basswood body paired with a hard-rock maple neck and Chechen fingerboard. The comfortable Medium C neck profile measures .820” at the 1st fret and .920” at the 12th fret, with a traditional 1.5” nut width and 9.5” fingerboard radius that feels instantly familiar to Jazz Bass players.
This bass has been upgraded with a Seymour Duncan SJB-2 Hot Jazz neck pickup and STK-J2 Hot Stack bridge pickup, delivering increased output, enhanced punch, and reduced noise while maintaining the articulation and growl that Jazz Bass players love. There is also a Hipshot Bass Xtender installed on the Low E string, which allows for instant access to drop D tuning.
The G&L Saddle-Lock bridge provides excellent sustain, resonance, and tuning stability by securely coupling the bridge to the body. Combined with the lightweight construction and balanced feel, this bass is equally at home on stage, in the studio, or at rehearsal.
This instrument has been professionally inspected and setup by our team and is playing exceptionally well with comfortable action up and down the neck. Electronics function exactly as they should, and the neck is straight with healthy frets showing minimal wear.
