Gibson Custom Art and Historic L-5 Studio - 2002 - Used

This relatively rare, yet reasonably affordable, Gibson L-5 Studio is in VERY GOOD Condition, was made in 2002 and includes an original Gibson Custom Art Historic hardhshell case. The body, neck, and and fretboard are in great shape, with just minimal wear to the headstock; finish separation at tuning machine on headstock face. This finish issue is very minimal, and was likely either caused by natural aging or from tightening the face of the tuning machine (see photos). This issue is cosmetic only at this point, and does not show any signs of getting worse on its own. 

Overall the guitar looks great - with a nice clean, appearance with slight wear expected to be seen on an instrument of this age. There are no noticeable dings, dents or damage beyond light, superficial wear to the clear coat in a few very select areas. None of these areas are reasonably photographic, and can only be seen upon VERY close inspection. There are no hidden repairs from breaks or damage. The guitar is excellent structural shape, showing no signs of separation internally or externally. 

The neck is straight with just a tad of relief, low action and great setup. The guitar stays in tune very well, and remains stable during performance. There are no warps or twists to the neck or fretboard. The frets are in nearly un-touched shape, showing only the minimal signs of every being played. 

This instrument's tone is big, open and clear. This is an excellent guitar for jazz, blues, country and most other forms of contemporary music as well. The blend of "classic" L-5 attributes with a modern look make this an incredible buy at a fraction of the cost of an L-5 Custom.
