Why Players Love The Guv’nor
Unlike many overdrive pedals of its era, The Guv’nor offers a remarkably amp-like response with exceptional touch sensitivity and a powerful active EQ section. It can produce everything from edge-of-breakup blues tones to thick ’80s rock rhythm sounds and saturated lead tones while maintaining clarity and note definition. Its ability to shape mids independently has made it a favorite among players who need a Marshall voice without hauling a full stack.
Early Korean-built examples have developed a loyal following thanks to their rugged construction and authentic vintage Marshall character.
Inspection & Shipping
Every pedal we sell is carefully inspected, tested, and verified for proper operation before it leaves our shop. We package each order with care using quality packing materials to help ensure it arrives safely and ready to play. Tracking and insurance are included for added peace of mind.
This 1991 Made in Korea example is in Very Good cosmetic condition for its age, showing honest signs of use around the enclosure while remaining fully functional. All controls operate smoothly, the footswitch functions properly, and the pedal has been thoroughly tested to ensure reliable performance. The original battery cover is missing, but this does not affect the pedal’s operation. It is ready to power via a standard 9V battery (without the cover) or a compatible 9V DC center-negative power supply.
