The PRS S2 Vela Semi-Hollow is one of the most unique electric guitar designs both industry-wide, and within the catalog of Paul Reed Smith that we've seen from a modern manufacturer. Made in USA, the S2 Vela features a very distinct offset body, and an overall vintage appeal aesthetically, whilst still providing the modern features today's players expect on a modern guitar. 

The S2 Vela (both solidbody and semi-hollow versions) utilizes a mahogany body and neck, a rosewood fretboard, a PRS Starla bridge humbucker in the bridge position, a PRS Narrowfield humbucker in the neck position, as well as a very cool compensated brass barrel bridge and a pickup coil-tapping option. 

With these specifications, the S2 Vela is able to achieve a vast array of vintage and modern tones, spanning from rock, country, blues, pop, funk, punk and even some heavier genres of rock / metal (in the hands of the right player!). The blend of vintage styling and a modern feel with easy playability, low action, modern tone and reliability.
