The PRS S2 Vela has quietly become one of the most versatile and character-filled guitars in the PRS lineup, blending classic American offset styling with the exceptional build quality PRS is known for. This example is finished in the striking Mahi Blue and features the clean, understated dot inlay fingerboard.
Built in the USA at PRS’s Maryland factory, the S2 Vela combines modern reliability with a lively, vintage-inspired voice. At just 6.5 lbs, this one is lightweight, resonant, and extremely comfortable to play.
Condition is Very Good. The finish shows some light but noticeable clear coat scratches and wear (visible in our photos). These marks are cosmetic only and are typically only apparent upon closer inspection. There are no dents or damage exposing bare wood. The neck, fretboard, and frets are in excellent condition, and the guitar plays beautifully with a comfortable setup and smooth action.
The guitar remains 100% original except for the addition of a PRS tortoise pickguard, which complements the Mahi Blue finish beautifully. The original PRS gig bag is included.
Tone & Performance
The S2 Vela offers a unique tonal palette that sits somewhere between a classic offset guitar and a modern PRS. The PRS Type-D single coil in the neck delivers clear, open tones with sparkle and articulation, while the PRS Starla bridge humbucker provides punchy mids, vintage output, and plenty of bite for rock and blues.
